Government departments will have more resources next year to invest in infrastructure, roads, health projects and education, Peña Nieto said during the inauguration of the Mezquital-Huazamota highway in the northern state of Durango on Monday.

The new highway will cut the travel time between the community of El Mezquital, Durango, and the Nayarit state border from 16 hours to five hours.

“Communications routes are the routes of progress,” Peña Nieto said.
